Meet the Quad of Quadrant

Quadrant is a 4-Piece Appalachian Sludge Metal band
Quadrant was formed in Boone in 2017, with no other goal than to bring their ideas to life and share their music with the world. What started as a group of friends with a dream, has now become a reality that they strive to achieve.
Quadrant is known for their slow, sludgy and dirty guitar riffs that complement their explosive, thrash, and even funk rock sound. With tracks like “Headhunter” and “Swudge”, you will not be disappointed with this group.

Dalton Mains
Guitarist & Vocalist
Dalton has always been a huge fan of metal music and started taking guitar lessons at an early age. His dream as a kid soon became reality when he started the push for Quadrant to come to fruition. After his best friend, Trey Stevens had officially started the drums, and Cousin Trent Cochran started guitar, it wasn’t long before the three decided to begin Quadrant. Now, Dalton’s energizing guitar riffs are most notably inspired by Black Sabbath and Mastodon. He delivers the iconic guitar riffs that fans love every time.

Trent Cochran
Frontman & Guitarist
Trent’s passion for music began as a pre-teen, where he played one of Dalton Mains’ acoustic guitars and learned “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd. From that moment forward, he poured his heart and soul into learning guitar. With his largest influences being Devin Townsend, Black Label Society, and Mastodon, his fast-paced and southern soul is put into every lick on his guitar.

“Heavy Hands” Trey Stevens
Drummer
“Heavy Hands” Trey started playing drums at the age of 6, leading to over 20+ years of experience. His Father, Robert Stevens, is the former drummer for Echo Park, which is where his main inspiration comes from. He quickly fell in love with Rush, Creed and Alter bridge leading him into his hard-hitting and catchy lines. After years of practice, Trey decided to push his dream of Quadrant into the world. His nickname “Heavy Hands” comes from the amount of power he holds with every beat on the drums he makes.

Wyatt Demster
Bassist & Backing Vocalist
Wyatt grew up loving all kinds of music, playing many classical and air instruments throughout his life. As an avid guitar gear guru, he has always had a special place in his heart for guitar and bass instruments. His first band that he saw live was Quadrant, and he instantly fell in love with the style. When Wyatt joined the band in 2023, Quadrant’s sound evolved to a deeper and heavier sound than ever before. With influences like Acid Bath, Black Sabbath and The Doors, he brings an incredibly unique sound with his rumbling bass.
